The other day my Sponge gave me a lovely Christmas card, so lovely was it that it brought a tear to my eye. I’m happy to report that she found her Xmas gift from me tearworthy as well in a nice way due to the little message inside. (Thankyou #JonathanGreen ). It truly is the little gestures that count, so remember this… not just at Christmas but every day of the year.
Well, its arrived and all in time for #Christmas. Alice’s Nightmare In Wonderland by #JonathanGreen, my special edition. For those of you whom haven’t heard, it is a new adventure for #Alice who is now 11 years old. You as the reader take on the role of Alice and decide which actions she takes to proceed to the next part of the story in this epic game book with a #steampunk twist and #KevCrossley brings #Wonderland to life with his incredible illustrations.
This is an ideal Christmas present or general buy for anybody who loves reading, adventures, games and of course the #LewisCarroll classic #AliceInWonderland. Seek and aquire and maybe you’ll see old Jams name mentioned within its pages. If that isn’t a selling point…what is? 😉
Congratulations Jon , hope to see you in 2016!
OK so if cracker jokes are not bad enough, heres half a dozen of my favourite #christmasjokes .
Just walked through the kitchen and all the herbs shouted HELLO!!! I love seasons greetings.
What fees does #SantaClaus pay to park his sleigh? Nothing, its on the house.
What did #KingWencelas eat for dinner? Pizza… deep pan, crisp and even.
My German cake appears to have gone missing. Must be #stollen .
Who’s Santa’s boss? Nobody he’s elf-employed.
Last Christmas I got a calculator, a scientific calculator, an abacus, a graphic calculator, and a hair dryer. Something doesn’t add up!?
Hope you’re having a good festive season, Jam

Had a nice Saturday afternoon following a half day at work. Was hoping one of the three Fighting Fantasy books I ordered had turned up but still no sign yet. However my Xmas shopping has started to arrive. Apologies to nieces and nephews, its great nieces and nephews turns for the better presents. Well let’s face it, Xmas is a magical time for kids. That magic died for me back in the mid 80s when I was about 10. Even though I am an atheist and feel slightly hypocritical sending presents, I don’t ask for anything in return. It is a Christian celebration after all. Commercialised by the power of media and the greed of excessive consumerism. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a bit of that and corrupt as the next guy, but it should be a different day for the non church attenders.
Why the hell am I ranting? Have a great day everyone! 😀
Well this year has been full on new experiences. This past two night I have tried two sea foods I have never had before. Last night I lived it up a bit with some caviar. It wasn’t as bad as some people make out. I can only liken the taste to black olives or teardrops. Moderately salty but not unpleasant if you have it to live the flavour of something else. In this case cream cheese. And It didn’t smell fishy at all. In fact I don’t even remember an odour.
Tonight I gave oysters a try. These were tinned and smoked so the texture was rather like really soft liver. The smell on this occasion was strongly fishy aided by the smoky flavouring but maybe not as strong as a tin of pilchards.
Hectic day at work. A pipe that runs from the canteen and through the Ladies had blocked. Appears the canteen staff have been pouring fat down the sink again. Danny got absolutely showered in all the filth build up to the point he had to go out and get more clothes, whilst Craig, Moo and myself mopped up.
Susie’s had a nasty cough the past few days. It appears to be clearing but I feel a tingle in my throat. Hope she hasn’t passed it to me before #Christmas …
Not as bad as the title and cliche suggests but big thanks to ‘them’ I’m well chuffed with it and will get an order in shortly for more.
My last day at work for a week and looking forward to some time off. Moods have been a bit dodgy again lately so hope to come back to a better atmos. Finished reading You Are The Hero by Jonathan Green last night. Still a thrill seeing my name in print. I hope he does a similar project someday. Got three new Fighting Fantasy books to read of course so will be throwing some hours in their direction. Payday only a week and a half away now. Just hope my omeprazole supply holds out till then. Got to pay Mr Aukett off for his contributions. My overtime should cover that. Need to start saving for Xmas now too. I like it but…ruddy hell. Should atheists really be taking part? 😉 Guess so on the commercial side of it. What is myrrh anyway…think somebody I met recently knows.
