So what desserts look and taste absolutely fantastic yet are good for you as far as desserts go? It doesn’t have to all be about fruit and veg. Keto is taking the health and dieting world by storm. TAKE A LOOK HERE.
I tried one of these 30 day challenges to tone up a bit several months ago and although it worked for the most part, I still have a little bit of a belly as you can see. On doing a bit of searching around online I have discovered this product which is designed to help combat that middle age spread. Take a look, maybe it’s worth a go if you’re in my position too. Following on from yesterday’s post (do read it first if you haven’t already), I have test ran a simulated diet a typical survivor could forage together if the incident occurred albeit a couple of months out of season.
3 medium sized tomatoes
2 medium sized carrots
Some meat free sausages.
I ate in that order too, after the second tomato I already felt quite full. Though each one doesn’t even contain 20 calories, they are packed with anti oxidants. The carrots contain a couple of good nutrients of course, and the radishes, despite tasting like a mouthful of table pepper. The Quorn sausages were very high in protein but also almost equally high in fat. About 12g of both per 100g. Just 4 sausages contained 124 calories. These would probably be made by grinding up mushrooms and biscuits in a post Zombie Apocalypse world.
All these were washed down with a coffee made with cold water. All in all I feel like I’ve eaten well and the whole lot came to about 450-500 calories. I shall endeavour to eat in this fashion where ever possible, certainly lunchtimes. Let’s see if I feel any better for it!
Well this year has been full on new experiences. This past two night I have tried two sea foods I have never had before. Last night I lived it up a bit with some caviar. It wasn’t as bad as some people make out. I can only liken the taste to black olives or teardrops. Moderately salty but not unpleasant if you have it to live the flavour of something else. In this case cream cheese. And It didn’t smell fishy at all. In fact I don’t even remember an odour.
Tonight I gave oysters a try. These were tinned and smoked so the texture was rather like really soft liver. The smell on this occasion was strongly fishy aided by the smoky flavouring but maybe not as strong as a tin of pilchards.
Hectic day at work. A pipe that runs from the canteen and through the Ladies had blocked. Appears the canteen staff have been pouring fat down the sink again. Danny got absolutely showered in all the filth build up to the point he had to go out and get more clothes, whilst Craig, Moo and myself mopped up.
Susie’s had a nasty cough the past few days. It appears to be clearing but I feel a tingle in my throat. Hope she hasn’t passed it to me before #Christmas …
