It is a great honour to be the first guest author for TroyAnthony Schermer’s expanding universe, and the project has seen me through a very dark time in life. IYKYK. It has recieved much praise from Troy and the playtesters, whilst some gamebook fans have been hooked with interest by the arresting title and fabulous art pieces.
I’m delighted to share that I have also been penning a sequel to which we have every intention of producing at some point.
I am currently awaiting the artwork for Malinkar : Lord Of Enmity, which has been going well. The book is billed for release as December 2023, but of course these things can take time if someone falls ill/ real life gets in the way. But so far, so good. Malinkar : Lord Of Enmity is the origin story of the villain from my third book, The Druids Of Pneuma. It highlights why he became so opposed to certain folk, where his powers came from, and sets him up for, possibly, much more.

The final three days are upon us. I have been running a Kickstarter campaign for my sixth book, Malinkar : Lord Of Enmity, which has been highly successful. If you like to read fantasy adventures, you may just enjoy this yarn as well. It sees the titular character rise to power after discovering his true ancestral line, his corruption and swing towards hatred of the Viridian empire. My first attempt at writing a proper story for a book comes to fruition in TroyAnthony Schermer’s fabulous anthology, Symphony Of The Damned. I was drafted in quite late but took a six day hiatus from my Savage Realms adventure to type up a quick idea. Should it be well recieved I would consider future projects like this rather than solely focus on interactive literature.
Amongst the other guest authors you may see familiar names associated with me such as Victoria Hancox, David Lowrie, and of course Pat O’Neill who provided the filler art for my book The Druids Of Pneuma, now turning debut writer. So if you like chilling stories, give this a try! Jam out!
Thought I’d given a poem a try. I know it’s the 21st century and you can’t say anything anymore but whatever.
I’ve never thrown myself on a hand grenade to protect my fellow team,
Nor charged into enemy fire as my dying friends all scream.
I’ve never transplanted organs to keep a terminal child alive,
Or worked around the contagious not knowing if I’d survive.
I’ve never put my life in danger whilst trying to rescue another,
Made history as a famous first with worldwide media cover,
The funny thing is those receiving knighthoods do not either,
In these days awful luvvies and MPs are the receivers.
Well this year saw the release of another two books; Jamthology and The Druids Of Pneuma. With these tucked under my belt I prepped to continue work on LIG4, then recieved a rather interesting and exciting request. I have been asked to guest-author for the Savage Realms gamebook series by its creator, the much revered TroyAnthony Schermer. I can’t say ‘No’ to such an honour, and I shall make this book not only better than any I have written for myself – but also better than most I have read. I dare not give out spoilers, especially at this early developmental stage, but work has commenced and the idea is even better than the one I reserved for a full length amateur FF. So there! Eat your heart out Stephen Hand.

Back in the eighties game books were at the height of their popularity, selling in their hundreds of thousands. Come the nineties, the video game era took over and game books saw a decline, with even the most popular series being pulled from the shelves.
