Who remembers all those great classic TV programs of the 80s? The Box Of Delights? The Chronicles Of Narnia? Knightmare? The Adventure Game? These were shows that boosted the imaginations of an entire generation, and inspired many. One of those inspired was Mr Oliver McNeil, who has managed to carve himself a career out of said inspirations, creating games, and interactive theatrical performances. Now YOU can join in as he takes the show live online.
Oliver’s latest venture was a hybrid RPG boardgame named The Storymaster’s Tales – Weirding Woods and it’s already became something of a cult hit in the gaming community, with a second game Dracodeep Dungeon currently funding on Kickstarter. However, combining the elements of theatre, game, visual FX and internet you are all able to watch and take part in a LIVE interactive version on his Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/groups/339654010167488/?ref=share
Hosted by Oliver himself alongside other actors and clever puppetry, he brings the Grimm Brothers-esque setting of Weirding Woods to life and you get to explore and take part in subplots as you strive to fulfill your primary mission be it slaying Evil Sorcerer’s or saving the world from a plague of living dead. With an ever expanding land, equipment, foes and treasure, this is a great way to spend time and liven up the pandemic lockdown. Creative writing doesn’t get any better than this. British author Jonathan Green has now opened a kickstarter for an epic adventure book set in Oz. But this isnt a cover to cover read. You can assume the role of Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman or Lion and decide what happens during the story as choices are given to you.
Illustrator Kev Crossley provides the artwork for this nightmarish adventure with a steampunk twist. Pledging towards the production costs in this crowdfunder will open up a choice of rewards, from a dedication in the book to a special hardback edition. To learn more, click this link here.

So the little stickman meme is taking Facebook by storm. #Thisisbob appears to be in every other post thanks to #nametests and other little programs. Was mildly amusing at first but getting bored now so I did this.
It is with much disappointment that one of my favourite horror writers, Stephen Volk, has sunk to an all time low and proven hisself to be a bit of a twat. His talented skills tarnished by the fact he thinks he can tell people what they can and cannot post on their own Facebook wall. This blog post is in his honour.
~ I love your work but your attitude stinks. Facebook is a social network. People speak on it. Its natural, tough titty. I hate spoilers as much as anybody, and whilst I agree there are groups or other methods to reduce them, maybe Facebook isn’t the right place for you if you think being on your friends list is more important than any persons freedom of speech. You are not all that, and one man will never silence the entire human race. You’re good but not that good, and can’t dictate what people can and cannot post on their own walls. Seeing how you’ve blocked me on Facebook and I’m not even one of these “Spoilermeister” people you loath, I take this chance to say best of luck in future projects, and have a happy Christmas 2015 ~
On a happier note, this is my 200th post so well done for making it memorable 🙂
Getting really fed up of seeing this #starwars #meme posted on #Facebook so could you all do me a favour and share this round on your posts on #TWITTER and #Facebook etc? It’s a film for crying out loud we don’t need this nutter telling us its a portrayal of #terrorism in this day and age so I’ve Jam’d it up hoping he will get the difference between Fantasy and real life!
I’ve been enjoying some success with my #memes on #Twitter and #Facebook boasting of the health benefits of green tea. I made this one just now and posted it on Twitter. Almost straight away 3 #greentea companies retweeted it. Somehow I don’t think they read the sentence I added hahaha! Feel free to share also 😉
As followers will know I recently took up the outdoor pastime known as Munzee. If you have never heard of it or need an excuse to get off your arse, check out this page for a basic briefing. There is also a special mention of a series of Munzees that I have hidden locally.
Am I such a bad friend that people feel its respectable to me to argue on my own Facebook wall? The type 2 Bipolar in me thinks so. Well this week has left me pretty sour minded towards some of my friends to the point I have actually deactivated my old Facebook account. I sooner throw myself on the blade than feel my heart break as two friends tear each other to shreds for nothing more than a petty disagreement. I opened a new one just for family and colleagues to stay in touch. Even Minx hasn’t spoken much and today only sent one solitary text. I kind of get the message although she does say she’s working hard and tired. I don’t mind cutting the slack though I am use to it. I can now tie in my blog , Instagram and Facebook using the Publicize feature and the like. Lets see if this endeavour will be better all round.
Nigel paid a visit to work today with our new mobile cleaner Shannon. Nice lass or seems to be. Pizza night around Mel n Robs again tonight. I think its the fourth one we have had so far. Seem to have one every 5 months or so. Good times.
