I’ve come up with another game formula. Card based and its really easy to produce. Might be work producing a play test sample and finding out if its any good. Vics back soon and I can’t wait. This is the longest we’ve probably been away from each other. I just hope she has really enjoyed herself. Afterall, we’re due busy times ahead 😉
Today I have secured the services of three fellow FF fanboys whom are respected artists in their own right, to help with the production of a card based game sharing its name with an Ian Livingstone book. I have messaged the man himself and await a response if we can get to work or not. The worst he can say is no.
The game itself is all organised with two juicy twists in it. It’d be great fun to play at a Beer’o event , or lunchtime or anywhere there’s a table.
It’s a sad thing but a great writer who I rather respected has gone from hero to zero in a short space of time by proving himself to be a bit of a knob head towards his fans. In this world, people have different beliefs, tastes, and outlooks on life. Just because he didnt agree with a rather petty topic he not only unfriended this person (thats fine, it’s his life) but in a gross display of boasting he proceeded to make an entire post about them and people branding them as ‘a shit’.

Its a strange thing, despite my severely religious upbringing I managed to somehow lose faith in my twenties but the more time that passes by the more ludicrous christianity in all its forms seems to become. Sorry if you do exist God, there is just too little evidence left in the world to support this claim for me, especially in a world with so much crap going on the all knowing all caring seems to be kopping a deaf one as well. If its all the same ill stick to all my friends and we will try our best to work everything out between us.
As for the driving power, I do get to see nature working hard all the time, its beauty, its savagery, its perpetual cycle not only on the Earth but far out into space as well. It gives life, it takes life it conserves and preserves without claiming to be all good and we understand much of how it works without needing a chauvinistic and phobic little text book which tells us even whom we can sleep with or not whilst some of its distributors are buggering underaged choristers but claiming to be acting on your behalf God.
I ask the women christians why they follow such a book which states, “A woman should be silent and submissive” Timothy chapter 2 verse 11. All this and they’re still happy to eat meat from your ‘unclean section’ for sunday dinner! Church Of England, Sunday School, Methodist Church, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Roman Catholic High School, I was dragged through it all. When nature’s right there in front of us, showing us what it does! If only someone said,
“Right, no killing, stealing, adultery or perversion, basically dont harm other people help them, don’t hurt other people, heal them…and enjoy the wonders of nature while avoiding the dangers and everything will be fine.”
So this may be the last message I send to you God. I’ve got work now so ill leave it there, I don’t want to be too late like you have been this past few of centuries… nay, Millennia.

Great Freddie Mercury track. Was almost autobiographical of me in my late teens/early 20s. Vics still away so im left virtually alone. If it wasnt for Drutt id be much worse. A lot of people say you never realise how much you miss something till it goes. When its your love though, you always know beforehand. It’ll have been a week tomorrow. I just wish I had the capital to get us up there permanently. Given time to save its perfectly achievable but need to be much more thrifty.
Having been exposed to much literature recently has reawoken a deep desire to write my own book. I have often toyed with the idea of doing my own interactive story or an autobiography, both of which appeal to me right now. I think in all honesty the former would be a better idea as it’s others work of this kind I have dabbled in, most recently proof reading and play testing Jonathan Green’s upcoming book, The Wicked Wizard Of Oz. I’ve chosen this option, and ideas are beginning to pop in my mind and I can see the story’s structure taking shape. Im making notes and next I shall plot out the sequences. The big question is, do I bother with a combat system? Many fans of this genre fess up to not bothering with associated dice rolls and prefer to assume they been successful in any opposing sequence encountered. Lighter books of this genre such as Choose Your Own Adventure and Time Machine don’t bother with this mechanic. It will surely make it easier to write as well.

Having read Rik Mayalls amazingly zany autobiography last year, Victoria purchased me another of a comedian I really enjoy. David Walliams, Camp David. Most the book covers his life all the way up to the first season of Little Britain. It was very interesting to read of his childhood and how, like myself, he loves to make people laugh like its a huge feel-good buzz. It also goes very indepth about his personal life, including his battle with depression and how very nearly we didn’t have Little Britain. I never thought when I use to watch GamesMaster that he was on the set regularly…or that Richard Osman was a two face plagiarising back stabber.
So I would highly recommend this as your very next read if you haven’t read it before (it’s five years old now, wish I got into biographies sooner). If you can forgive the endless typos (get a better proof reader David) you’ll have a riveting read of the funnyman who swam the channel for charity!

The ever concerned Jonathan Green has assumed the title of Warlock, the name given to the runner of the fightingfantasy.com website, having recently bequeathed the honour from Jamie Fry. Well author Jonathan Green has turned me into a proof reading force of nature. Today I played through Tinman Games’ adaptation of The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain. Low and behold, I found this little nugget, seems to be missing the word ‘follow’.
Then this evening I sat down with David Walliams autobiograpgy Camp David, and discovered line two say ‘he’ instead of ‘her’.
Back to The Warlock though, I finally progressed to the place where Zagors Crypt contain a book and look who’s second on the list 😉 Im beaming with pride yet again and feel im official Fighting Fantasy merchandise myself haha.
Wrote a couple of jokes myself recently so spread them round 😉
