When I was 19 years old, I produced my first full length interactive gamebook manuscript, The Curse Of Axehead Island. On reading it back to myself, it felt flat, with an off-the-peg plot and rather boring characters. I even had a go at illustrations for it but could never match the skills I was weened on. (See pic 🤢)
25 years later, I had an inspiring walk on the local beach with my dog. I managed to tweak that dusty old manuscript enough that it became more engaging, with a couple of clever twists. It became The Druids Of Pneuma. The third book that I self-published on the readily available Amazon KDP. Better still, having met my own heroes from yesteryear, I managed to recruit one of the illustrators whose work I’d admired for so many years before. And now, Malcolm Barter and I are preparing to work on another project. The Witches Of Cara, now live on Kickstarter.

It has been a harrowing couple of years to say the least, so much so, it has had an effect on my health. I stand defiantly against abusers even now, and will not fold to their uneducated drivel. With my memoirs from November 2015 to July 2024 now published in paperback and ebook form, I can move along sound in the knowledge that the truth behind the horror is there for everyone to see, including the shallow-minded disciples. The only thing that was not a lie in nine years, are my children who love me unconditionally. A love which I reciprocate. Now I can move on, and the vile cannot change that. I underline the charlatans and miles of misery, and proceed happy and defended. I have a life and it won’t last forever. I will live it.
