Was thinking way back earlier to my childhood about the things your friends tried to convince you were actual facts. So I’m 5 years old in the summer of 1981. #MarkEvans would tell me that his sister Zoe had gotten butterfly wing scales (yes the coloured bits) on her and when she flapped her arms she levitated three feet off the floor. Of course you’d have to be a completely gullible prat to believe a big fib like that, but then picture this…!
Somebody wrote the bible two millenia ago and even in 2016 a billion people still believe Noah managed to get 10 million+ animals on an Ark! ERM……!

I’m no dietitian but to share with anyone that will find this useful is OK. There was one week a little while ago I had seen drinking lots of water made you look younger in just a few weeks. I never took that particular challenge but did resort to drinking a mug of water every hour on the hour for five days. I was only eating your standard amounts. (IE cereal for breakfast, packed lunch, stew for dinner and a sarnie for supper)
The art in it is to drink it all inside a minute. I never felt hungry and did feel sated round the clock. Give it a try? Remember, every hour on the hour 🙂

I’m not saying he did or didn’t as I do not know, I’m not saying it was right or wrong, but has it really taken UK 10 years to reach a conclusion of ‘probably’. Turns out my cough has turned into Acute Follicular Tonsillitis according to my GP. Sponge was right sending me for a second opinion, and now I’m on a two week course of Clarithromycin antibiotics which is strange. I was beginning to feel better aside from the wheezing phlegmatic cough. Still, he even gave me a seven day sicknote so not all bad. To the rest of you in a similar plight, heres one of my favourite comedy songs , The Sick Note by Pat Cooksey performed by some American dude. (Who calls it the brick layers song)
Haven’t posted here for a few days now. I thought I was over the worst of my cold but had started coughing again really bad on Friday. I though maybe due to emptying that vacuum cleaner thinking that n how many allergens and bacterium that must have got out. Sponge advised me to go to the Doctor as the cough sounds bad. I agree, sounds like it has a whoop in it and is accompanied by bits of green phlegm. I decided to go the walk in clinic. I saw what can only be described as a witchdoctors mama, who told me to steam it out with olbas oil and hot water as she didn’t think it was a bacterial cough and wasn’t going to prescribe pills. (Even though I’ve had this three weeks? Thanks NHS, why do I bother paying tax?) So following that advice I’m alarmed to report, the cough is worse if anything and my nose has also blocked and I’m sneezing everywhere. I’ve phoned works sickline and booked an appointment with my GP tomorrow. I hope they’re a tad more pharmaceutical that tribal.
As if this past two weeks haven’t been bad enough we lose another shining star, Alan Rickman. I have enjoyed him in so many films, from when I first saw him in Die Hard, right the way through to the Harry Potter franchise.
Once again Cancer has taken a hero from us, once again 69 years old. This has been a sad two years for showbiz icons. Bless you all.
