Food Glorious Food

Well this year has been full on new experiences. This past two night I have tried two sea foods I have never had before. Last night I lived it up a bit with some caviar. It wasn’t as bad as some people make out. I can only liken the taste to black olives or teardrops. Moderately salty but not unpleasant if you have it to live the flavour of something else. In this case cream cheese. And It didn’t smell fishy at all. In fact I don’t even remember an odour.

Tonight I gave oysters a try. These were tinned and smoked so the texture was rather like really soft liver. The smell on this occasion was strongly fishy aided by the smoky flavouring but maybe not as strong as a tin of pilchards.

Hectic day at work. A pipe that runs from the canteen and through the Ladies had blocked. Appears the canteen staff have been pouring fat down the sink again. Danny got absolutely showered in all the filth build up to the point he had to go out and get more clothes, whilst Craig, Moo and myself mopped up.

Susie’s had a nasty cough the past few days. It appears to be clearing but I feel a tingle in my throat. Hope she hasn’t passed it to me before #Christmas …

So many small minded people out there. You bare your innermost to someone you feel would understand only to have them think you’re lying! Ah well, their loss. My ceaseless endeavour continues. I must say though it’s good to exercise ones standards and not be driven by feeling but common sense. If I have learned anything it’s that a gut feeling should be trusted… and trust it I do!

This is quite amusing to watch. So true as well lol

It was good getting back on the saddle after such a long while (for me). Didn’t go on a massive ride but about 8 miles or so to work the tyres back in. Also discovered a couple more caches. I didn’t log one of them though it was covered in snail shite. Must have been vengeance for last nights joke. There’s rain forecast most the weekend so doubt ill get much more chance to do anything else. Roll on the next reasonable day off so I can get out again!

Geoca[t]ching Up

Well set off a bit later than I though I would on my second geocaching quest. Managed to get halfway along the Lincoln to Bardney route down by the River Witham. Managed to locate 11 altogether , I think a few had been lots to yobs but the all interesting troves were still there. Swapped a keyring for a squidgy lizard. The temptation now is, to pump up the bike tyres and do a ride out to Bardney, locating the caches along the other half of the way. Lets see. Anyone else taking this route…watch out for dinosaurs along the way.

Been ages since I posted here. A busy time for sure. Got three xmas presents so far, but just recounted my money and I’m skint till the end of the month. Didn’t remember I had a direct debit going out. That’s put a dampener on all things I was originally looking forward to. A well, at least I have my xbox . Sonja Kinski would be nice as well but we cant have everything. you all know the game I am thinking of. Lets goooo!

Out of all the random numbers out there (and this doesn’t include single numbers as that would be stupid), the number 44 seems to haunt my every day. Why does number 44 keep popping up and catching my eye so regularly. It has followed me around since at least the second year of high school to my memory, and hasn’t stopped, although in recent times it has become more and more regular. Why does it stick out so much. Does anybody else have a number that’s always catching their eye? Number 44 will pop up several times a day now. Its just so random, and so mysterious. From bus services to xbox scores, house numbers to my country’s dial code, 44 is my stalking number. And to a lesser extent 409 and 1010.

If I die when I am 44 as well…I think the coincidence would kill me 😉

Ok Halloween isn’t far off now so here is a little treat. An EVP from when I was part of a ghost hunting team. We would go round many a derelict in the evenings and try to gather evidence of paranormal activity. As far as I am concerned this is the strongest we ever got. Ok maybe not directly yesterday but I have learned a lot over the past three years. First of all if something really ticks you off then move on. It took a bit of working out at the time because it involved relocating but there’s a difference between sharing a house and paying for half a house and being expected to have one room to oneself. God if they could see me now in this palace the envy would ooze from them lol.

Secondly, when someone does you a favour it doesn’t mean you’re indebted to them forever, especially if they start dissing your other friends whom they don’t even know. If they take something so petty as to even remove you from their Facebook friends list then they can’t have given that much of a moral damn about you in the first place and was probably only in it to make a quick quid. Better off without and good luck to them.

Thirdly no matter how much it hurts at the time and whatever reason got you low, you will get over it if you give it time. There genuinely are happier times ahead maybe more so than ever before. Having experienced all these myself has made me a better and stronger minded person who will deflect negativity and get on with the nicer times.

I’d like to give anyone suffering from depressing times one piece of advice. Be around the friends or family in your life that matter. Even if you don’t want them to know what’s going on, mingle and chat with the rest of what dear to you. I won’t lie, it will take a few weeks but will promise you will be over it and back on form like never before! x
