Been an unfortunate week with Roger Lloyd Pack passing away, and the little boy in Scotland being killed. However, life goes on but we can always remember. Had some lovely meals with Minxy this week and we seem to be growing closer. Thankfully she did my laundry this week. The bad thing is I have simply had to break into the savings again. Why is this so difficult to save when I’m living for less than I use too. My guess is because we have no microwave here. Speaking of here…there seems to be an atmosphere between me a the Landlady. She hasn’t been as chatty and jolly. Either she’s ill, mad at her fella, or thinking of kicking me out and doesn’t know how to break it to me. If its the latter I wouldn’t mind as long as the notice and/or deposit are utilised correctly. don’t know where id go though…

Haven’t posted here for a few nights but its been all go. Eggzy sent a few photo’s through for his website to be updated with and Andreas domain needed updating. Also took the liberty of sending a reminder to Erics mate that their domain will be retiring soon if they don’t renew. Work’s been a bit busy lately too and we had the pleasure of Lucys company yesterday, and a new general manager of the Norwich area. Got along quite well and he was admiring Jason the Orangeplant.
Stopped at minxys last night. I think our snoring is going to wind each other up eventually. Had a lovely Chinese takeaway though, and a good old chat about more personal things. Know each other quite well now. Just been playing left4dead again whilst the laundry has been on its cycle. Can’t wait till I get back into cycling too. Its been too long. Moneys getting tighter also. Roll on the end of January as we may get a back date from last April. That will help if I have to cut into the savings.
Well as you can see I didn’t type here yesterday. People has missed me at work and the condition of the place showed it was not ill founded. Today seemed to go by much smoother. I’m beginning to knuckle down and get things done. The wretch in the canteen has been fly tipping her boxes around our disposal area again. Called out a greeting this morning but never received a reply. Something to moan at the boss about I suppose. It never went down too well last time so wonder what reaction we will get next.
Finished the day off on my usual Left 4 Dead campaign. Death Toll is still my favourite scenario. May do a page dedicated to the game at the weekend as I have learned a lot of tips and hints. Its disappointing so many immature children are let on to play an 18 certificate game with vulgar coarse language and graphic violence. Clearly its lack of parental care, they should be ashamed of themselves.
Woke up quite early for a Sunday, at 9.30am and had a few rounds of Left4Dead before someone switched off the internet without warning me. Ta :P! Caught the bus to Asda and grabbed a few lunch type snacks before dropping by at Dads. He seems to be happy as he’s going back to Spain tomorrow for four weeks. After a few crossword games we had a risotto for dinner and sat round television vegetating in front of the Sunday Night line up of programs.
Back to work tomorrow. Need to get cracking and be a little more stricter with myself as far as work is concerned. I dare say my areas will be met with the same neglect they are always left in when I’m on leave.
Minx went to work at 7am this morning so we was up at 6.30. Thankfully she gave me a lift home as it was raining. I really hope things arnt going to be rushed between us. We came close to intimacy the other day but I want to make sure we will actually be going places before any of that takes place.
Took Scott his card and birthday gift down to Birchwood today. Youngest sister, Sue, was busy taking down all the Xmas decorations. After which we had a rather enjoyable retro game of Bomberman 2 on the SNES. Almost got through the game entirely before heading back for burger and fried from Romeo’s Pizza. Must hand it to them they are nicely done. Ive received a couple of messages from Minx, apparently she has looked through my shower bag to make sure alls to standard I guess lol.
Its a strange thing going back out with Minx. On the way home from hers yesterday morning I saw the bus services to Louth and Market Rasen one after the other. Having been hurt by a woman from both villages last year its seemed like life was trying to rub salt into the wounds. Still, onwards and upwards this year.
My browsers playing up. I’m beginning to wonder if someone’s been messing around with my laptop. Its never acted like this before. Time for another shower. Going to spend the rest of the day with Minx as she hasn’t got any work this afternoon.
Ok first post of the year is a day late but I was at my girlfriends last night. We had pizza and I stopped over. She was suffering with a migraine so I guess she just wanted someone near in case it got too bad. Was a rather rainy day otherwise I would have gone out on my bike whilst the roads were less bust that the norm. Hear via a friend on Facebook that James Avery, whom used to play the role of Uncle Phil had sadly passed away. What an awesome day to pass on though… you get to see one last New Years with family and friends. We never know when its coming, so we should live everyday as its our last and make the most of life.
Of course today is the 2nd, and its time to nip to Tesco and get some ingredients for the spag bol I’m having with my lady. Speak to ya all soon, Jam
I would like to dedicate my last post this year to my work collegue Graham D Bennet who sadly past away from heatstroke earlier on this year. He was a jolly fellow who would help you out wherever he could and is missed by all.
As you can guess by my last post I am not a fan of this year, but lets end on a positive with a joke.
What are the sales figures for iPhone and iPads called?
Apple turnover!!!! ;D
Happy 2014 Everyone!
So 2013…not the best of years. It had many lows but three significant highs that no other year previous has had.
One high of which being four relationships, that’s more than I have ever had before in years previous. Despite two of them ending rather swiftly which I shall not dwell on, the others seemed to be so perfect at the time. First of which was my last three months with Katie. As I feared she had found another guy and it was the one she denied interest in. Second of course was with Shelley from Louth. It transpired after 6 weeks she was simply on the rebound. The disappointment when they was all over was awful. Are there no other people in the world apart from liars and cheats? Its yet to be discovered.
The second high was finally moving out from Abingdon Avenue. Truth be told, I had made the decision to move out the very evening before we moved in after fathoming I was just being taken for granted as a subsidiary of cash so my houseshare, could live independently. I had spoken the aforementioned evening I could keep indoor plants in the conservatory, and heard her mutter under her breath, “you f***ing won’t”. After asking her what she just said she replied “nothing”. Based on that very remark I would pay off all my debts then save for a deposit over the next four years just to get out!
Going from a crappy two up two down, the house at Abingdon could’ve really worked. With a shared bathroom and kitchen, we had six rooms left if we included the garage. As we was to pay equal amounts, we should have had three rooms each. This wasn’t the case. Inevitably I ended up with the small bedroom and tiny boxroom as my living space. I had already discovered through the use of alarm systems that houseshare was letting up my bedroom to her guests while I was away… a vast invasion of privacy. I prevented this in the future my rendering my bedroom door un-openable. Then more recently she had disconnected Ramona’s vivarium and bunged her on a set of drawers behind a mirror letting her friend sleep in there whilst I was in Wensleydale. That was an unforgivable action on my pet. On top of this her new dog was vicious and would bite me and others too eventually. This arrangement wasn’t going to work any longer. I wasn’t getting what I was paying for and getting bitten each time I came through the door.
Thanks to Bomber, I ended up renting in town. A vast room with an ensuite and balcony, and everything’s going really well. People will see this and be surprised maybe, but as I keep diaries etc, they need not deny them. I found a great photo on yahoo which sums the latter experience up.
My longest cycle ride since I took it up was of 40 miles was earlier this summer with some of the lads from work. We rode from Lincoln to Woodhall Spa and back and I proud to say I alone raised £163 for charity. Since moving, I haven’t been out on any more long jaunts but invested in a posh new helmet camera so will get back into it when I feel more confident about these town roads.
Apart from those I have befriended some childhood heroes on Facebook. Having contributed towards the funding of the publication, my name should be in pages of the up and coming book You Are The Hero by Jonathan Green.
So all in all I will look on 2013 as a very emotionally glum year, but with some important transitions within it. See you in 2014 , have a very Happy New Year!
I hope despite everything bad thrown at the human race this year we all had as best a Xmas as we could. Time to crack on with getting this blog sorted anyway. I believe I have found the way to switch Publicize on and off at will so this post is a tribute to that, to see if it works. I shall finish this post off if I have succeeded…
…and Presto! It worked fine and I feel like a true blogger who knows his stuff. Now to make the about page a wee bit more detailed.
