Well, this weekend saw the big move. Im no longer at the palace iI was at and we have downsized two rooms. On reflection though, this place is almost as big, and certainly much closer to the sort of house I would love to own. A quiet location and tucked out of the way, this property has a lovely cottage style garden at the front, and a large open garden at the back. Definately my choice between the two. After spending allday moving furniture, i started the gardening Sunday 🙂
Saw an old homeless guy in the subway today playing an unrecognisable tune on a harmonica. I slipped him a coin for which he was very greatful and the smile he gave was the most genuine id seen in a long time….if a little toothless. It made me wonder how much people actually give as they walk by, and what is a fair amount if we put aside the saying ‘beggars cant be choosers’.
To begin with i think copper coinage id pretty useless. Not only is it difficult to find anything which costs a penny or two, but shops also reserve a legal right to refuse over 20p in copper coinage. I pissed a bus driver off doing just that in my schooldays, luckily i successfully appealed to his better nature. 5 pence coins are capped as well and awkward to carry around due to their size. Who wants to be weighed down by a pocketful of five p’s? So tens and twentys? Hmmm, these seem more respectable but youd need quite a few before you could buy anything like food or a drink at a cafe. Could try the pound shop but if you need something warm on a cold day youd be buggered. I figured anything from 50 pence or above is fair and practical in this day and age. Youd only need six 50p coins three times a day to eat relatively well. 18 generous people out of the hundreds that pass you by. Of course ill give whatever i can spare, but i see a fifty pence piece or above as a realistic offering in 2015.
Incidentally…. I gave this guy a one pound coin.
To further my rant about the paranormal
I feel over the past three or four years I have learned a lot about people. Not so much in the sense i can read their movements and body language, but whether or not they are worth my time of day. From bullying at school to pressure from those who claim to be close to you, these experiences have toughened me up. So although its totally out of my character, I no longer hold back in giving these types a piece of advice in the form of a resounding F@#K OFF!
Why are people also still scared of ghosts and ouija boards? Here we are and 2015 and there is no evidence what so ever of ghosts fullstop. Whats that? Oh your living rooms haunted is it? Funny how you havent got and evidence to share with all the technology available today! Ouija boards? You mean the boardgame that Parker Brothers have owned the copyright on for a hundred years or more is a spirits answer to a CB radio? Grow up, its all bullshit! Oh your friend says so? Oh well I really must believe mine when he says hes really Elvis! Anyone who tells me there is life after death, let alone ways to communicate with them is either a liar or a fool because we DON’T know! Stop acting like a bloody child and get real!!
And no, of course it isnt fucking real!!!
So The Walking Dead season 5 recommences with a rather harrowing opening episode. ‘That’ shouldnt have happened in my opinion. My parcels arrived today so i can start planning some locations after our move. Knew Daz Tingle would keep them safe. Top bloke. Bloody moving! Once is bad enough, but this place looks more ideal. Just hope the space is enough and i can still do gardening!
Not posted here for a while once again Hope the novelty isnt wearing off. A kick up the bum off an old acquaintance has inspired me to post this. Lifes been pretty much as youd expect for January and February, its that dead area of time where you cant go out and get anything decent done. The bulbs are all sprouting despite the snow showers we have been getting. I guess i can say here im relocating to another part of town in a week and a half. Its a shame as we enjoy the current place but with financial dips in the pipeline its better to be cost effective. More on that later. Still sharing with our Susie n Ruth. Crappy work has been rather quiet about these hours cuts lately but no news is good news. Still, got my cream cakes to look forward to later. Hopefully a nice quiche as well. In regards to the title of this post, i havent had a cold for a full year now. Rather happy with that.
Strange little saying that…for the win. Got to be from the United States Of and so on. Well, I have purchased a euromillions ticket but won’t check the numbers until tomorrow. So what would i do if i won 20 million for example. Well first off i would accept redundancy from work, and with the money from that id arrange for myself, Mark Lain and Steven Leicester to have a nice dinner with our Fighting Fantasy favourites. Our very own FFF point two lol. With the prize funds, get Susie n Ruth a little detached place of their own and find myself half a dozen properties round the UK . Could live in a different one each week. See all the blood relatives alright for a few bob of course. Walk past the beggers in the streets and drop a huge wad of banknotes into their hats. Go on a world geocaching trip. Thats all just for starters. Would need to book myself in a travelodge to get away from it all for a couple of days.
Hmmm…fingers crossed for the morning…
