Not posted here for a while once again Hope the novelty isnt wearing off. A kick up the bum off an old acquaintance has inspired me to post this. Lifes been pretty much as youd expect for January and February, its that dead area of time where you cant go out and get anything decent done. The bulbs are all sprouting despite the snow showers we have been getting. I guess i can say here im relocating to another part of town in a week and a half. Its a shame as we enjoy the current place but with financial dips in the pipeline its better to be cost effective. More on that later. Still sharing with our Susie n Ruth. Crappy work has been rather quiet about these hours cuts lately but no news is good news. Still, got my cream cakes to look forward to later. Hopefully a nice quiche as well. In regards to the title of this post, i havent had a cold for a full year now. Rather happy with that.
Strange little saying that…for the win. Got to be from the United States Of and so on. Well, I have purchased a euromillions ticket but won’t check the numbers until tomorrow. So what would i do if i won 20 million for example. Well first off i would accept redundancy from work, and with the money from that id arrange for myself, Mark Lain and Steven Leicester to have a nice dinner with our Fighting Fantasy favourites. Our very own FFF point two lol. With the prize funds, get Susie n Ruth a little detached place of their own and find myself half a dozen properties round the UK . Could live in a different one each week. See all the blood relatives alright for a few bob of course. Walk past the beggers in the streets and drop a huge wad of banknotes into their hats. Go on a world geocaching trip. Thats all just for starters. Would need to book myself in a travelodge to get away from it all for a couple of days.
Hmmm…fingers crossed for the morning…
Well i set myself a bit of a challenge at the beginning of the year. Im on the hydro challenge that i read about last year. One month of drinking three litres of water per day. Its going rather well despite the flak im getting from people trying to put me off. They seem think instant coffee was around since humans first crawled down from the trees. Feel fatter and i dont seem to be getting hungry as much. Definitely peeing more so my tubes are getting a good clearout.
Just need to get this crappy situation at work sorted out then ill know for sure if i can get plan two underway. Such a busy time. But will be worth it.
Well its been a whole week since New Year and I havent posted anything so thought I had best make an effort. Typically theres a whole new deck of cards on the table which i need to play meticulously. For a start we have the impending doom at work with Romec wanting us to shed hours. Its playing on my mind quite a bit. Think i need to put everything on hold till that gets sorted as i dont know what willy be lost.
There are a couple of things which may surface that can cushion the blow. One of which I need to brace myself for so I shall be sifting through my possessions later to see what can be kept or not. Thankfully I ditched most my excess junk when I left Abingdon. Doesnt help being a sentimental old softie though.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 37,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 14 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
Season of good will and peace on Earth, but I have this strange craving to revisit an old classic and immerse myself in a game of Dungeon Keeper. Is it even downloadable for windows 8? Maybe someone who reads this will know. Other than that it appears im home alone tomorrow so Ramona and I are on bunny duty for the landlady Susie. Gonna try and sort the compost heaps out too tomorrow. The stuff in the bin is ready and just needs sieving off. The current mix is doing ok too although the winter temps hindering it a bit.
Good to see Jonathan Greens’ Fighting Fantasy book Bloodbones has been given the App treatment by the great Tin Man Games. Play this epic adventure!
Didn’t think I had much to do this weekend then remembered I have to wrap loads of presents up for xmas. Have to go through the checklist as well and make sure I have everything. Also have my laundry in and nibbling on a little breakfast.

The Christmas Alphabet only has 25 letters in it. The angels sing “no L”
Well this year has been full on new experiences. This past two night I have tried two sea foods I have never had before. Last night I lived it up a bit with some caviar. It wasn’t as bad as some people make out. I can only liken the taste to black olives or teardrops. Moderately salty but not unpleasant if you have it to live the flavour of something else. In this case cream cheese. And It didn’t smell fishy at all. In fact I don’t even remember an odour.
Tonight I gave oysters a try. These were tinned and smoked so the texture was rather like really soft liver. The smell on this occasion was strongly fishy aided by the smoky flavouring but maybe not as strong as a tin of pilchards.
Hectic day at work. A pipe that runs from the canteen and through the Ladies had blocked. Appears the canteen staff have been pouring fat down the sink again. Danny got absolutely showered in all the filth build up to the point he had to go out and get more clothes, whilst Craig, Moo and myself mopped up.
Susie’s had a nasty cough the past few days. It appears to be clearing but I feel a tingle in my throat. Hope she hasn’t passed it to me before #Christmas …
