I think my admiration and respect for William Shatner has boldly gone. When criticised by Prince William over his ten minutes in space aboard the Bezos cockrocket, he replied:
“… he’s got the wrong idea. The idea here is not to go, ‘Yeah, look at me. I’m in space’. No, I would tell the prince, and I hope the prince gets this message, this is a baby step of getting industry, all those polluting industries … off of Earth.”
Well old boy, I say you have the wrong idea. Why would spreading across the solar system polluting everywhere with our shit be a positive thing? By the time we even get their this planet will be beyond help. Scotty, beam him up and fetch Bones, he’s beyond rational thought.
Imagine all those tree saplings that cost just $0.12 cents you could’ve planted for that. Your own forest with 833,333 trees. Mind you, you have spent your life with a Deforest I suppose… plenty of Captains Logs cut down for you!
